Needle EMG is a pivotal component to evaluate for motor axonal loss, degree of denervation, and pattern of involvement and helps rule out competing diagnoses, such as radiculopathy(ies), myopathy, and ...
In this syndrome, decreased sensation and loss of reflexes occurs first in the toes on each foot, then extends upward. It is usually described as a glove-stocking distribution of numbness, sensory loss, dysesthesia and night time pain. The pain can feel like burning, pricking sensation, achy or dull.
2 天前·There is a typical sensory change that is a symmetrical glove and stocking loss to all modalities. This pattern of sensory loss is unlike that of individual nerve or nerve root disease. In the latter cases the sensory loss is asymmetrical or confined to one limb.
